Malyalam movie superstar Mohanlal Viswanathan made his directional debut with Barroz 3D – Guardian Of Treasurers . It is an action, Adventure, Fantasy film made especially for childrens ,released in 5 languages – Hindi , Telgu , Malyalam ,Tamil, Kannada.
Role cast of movie : Mohanlal in the lead role, alongside Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Ignacio Mateos, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Nerea Camacho, Sha and Tuhin Menon.
Released on 24 September ,2024. Movie story is about a loyal Ghost Barroz, who is a trusted guardian of the lieutenant of Da Gama Kings, who arrived in India from Portugal. The king of Da Gama entrusts Barroz to guard his treasure after a satanic ritual. Barroz is trapped in the cellar for centuries .His only aim is to hand over the keys of treasure to the right heir of Da Gama to be free from his work. Lastly, he found Isabella to be a rightful heir to the treasure he has protected for centuries.
This movie was a big dream of director Mohanlal, but his attempt failed to meet his expectation. There are visible flaws in movie , making it very less captivating even for childrens. Failed to meet expectation of audience ,the only thing of very little interest is song Bamboo ziya : Animated underwater song ,and some emotional scenes between Barroz and Isabell .
It became very clear from this project that director need to learn a lot about filmmaking as Barroz : A fictional story with no consistent rhythm and not properly executed interrupted scenes ,mark as an unsuccessful work of him. Even B Ajithkumar’s editing fails to salvage the storytelling of Mohanlal.
